Chinon CM-4S SLR, 1980
My favourite camera. My dad bought it when he was a teenager and gave it to me when I was a teenager.
Panasonic Super Mini C-625AF, 1991
This camera is one my family used to take photos when I was growing up. It was my go-to camera to take out with me for fun snaps of my friends in the late 2010s/ early 2020s, but it stopped working a few years ago and I haven't figured out why yet.
Olympus Mju Zoom 115, 1999
My sister got this camera in a bundle of second hand cameras and gave this one to me. It had a film inside that I got developed with a few shots of a city skyline on, but nothing else.
Olympus Mju Zoom 115, 1999
This is another camera from the bundle. I am using this one as my go-to point and shoot at the moment, since my other Panasonic isn't working.
Lomokino Super 35, 2011
This camera is so cool. I have so far not made many recordings with it, but I definitely want to do some more in black and white and then develop the film myself in coffee. It shoots half frames, so some places have trouble with scanning it for me. I think it could be easier to do this myself at home.
Lomography Hello Kitty Fisheye 35mm, 2012
I got this camera for free with a Lomography order when I bought my Baby Diana. It's so cute and the fisheye lens is really fun.
Pentax Zoom 105-R, 1991
This camera is actually my sister's, but it's with my collection right now as I'm trying to fix it for her. This is not my area of expertise, so I haven't had any luck. It came in the bundle with my Olympus Mjui Zoom 115.
Underwater 35mm
I lent the camera to a friend at the moment, but this is the waterproof shell.
35mm Pinhole Kit Camera, mid 2010s
I can't remember what make this camera is but it was a kit that you put together yourself. Until I got this camera, I was only able to do pinhole photography at sixth form with a borrowed camera, so it was great to finally have my own.
Mickey Wonders Why 110 Mail Order Promo Camera, Early 90s
This camera came free with the Mickey Wonders Why books I had in the 90s. I love how simple it is- no flash, no real viewfinder, just point and click at it's most basic.
Tele-Ektalite 600, 1980
I bought this camera off ebay, wanting to have a 110 option with a built in flash. It's so cool, I love how it unfolds to have a handle.
Lomography Baby Diana 110, 2007
Apparently it was first released in 2007! Much earlier than I thought. I bought mine in 2020. My boyfriend and I had a lot of fun during the pandemic taking photos with our Baby Dianas, trying out all the different Lomography 110 film.
Kodak Brownie Flash III, 1957
This camera belonged to my grandad. The film isn't made for any of the Kodak Brownie cameras anymore, but with a bit of time and effort you can roll 120 onto the spool, if you have a darkroom or lightproof changing bag.
Kodak Duaflex II, 1950
I bougth this camera off the photography tech in my sixth for for £5. The back is broken, so it's held closed with tape. I used to use it at college by cutting squares of film paper and placing them where the film should go, then taking the camera back to the darkroom and developing the paper right away. I might try this technique again, but with my lightproof changing bag, as I don't have access to a darkroom these days.
Kodak Six-20 Hawkeye Major Box Camera, 1935
I found this camera for sale in my local charity shop and just couldn't resist it, despite having 2 brownie cameras already. It will be interesting to compare the photos taken with all 3.
Lomography Diana F+, 2008
I first saw these cameras on a trip to London with my photography class in university. I couldn't afford one at the time, but bought one as soon as I could. I'd love to get the instax back for it eventually.
Kodak 66 Model III, 1958
Possibly the cutest camera I own. I bought it from an antique store on a date with my boyfriend. I just love how it all folds neatly away and the rounded edges of the case are so charming. It's my oldest camera and the only camera I have with folding bellows.
Vivitar Vivicam 4100, 2005
My first ever digital camera. I got it from Argos for my 15th birthday.
Canon Powershot SD1100 IS, 2008
I got this camera for my 18th birthday and took it on it's first outing to the sealife centre. I love this camera, I even used it for my video project in university. It's battery life is now greatly reduced, even after buying it a new battery, and there seems to be some damage to the lens.
Canon DSLR
Photo pending. I bought this camera at university with the grant you used to get for art supplies at the time.
Mustek DV3000, 2003
The video quality of this camera is just awful and I absolutely love that. My sister and I used it on holiday when we were young teens. In 2020 I started using it again to make fun outfit videos in lockdown, as I was really enjoying it's crunchy video quality. Unfortunately it eats batteries faster than any other piece of tech I have ever had, so it sometimes cuts out before I have finished what I'm trying to record.
Panasonic Lumix TZ70, 2015
I bought this camera with the thought to replace my Canon Powershot, but it didn't end up exactly filling that spot and I also ended up holding onto my Powershot anyway. Instead, this is my go-to camera when I need to record something and don't want to look like it was shot with a potato. Crusty video quality is my favourite, but it doesn't suit every occasion.
Aliexpress Mini pink digicam, 2024
I bough this off aliexpress after seeing an ad for a marked up version, which demonstrated it's quality to be very similar to my old Mustek. I tracked down a non branded, far cheaper one on aliexpress and I love it. Because it's rechargable, it's much easier to use than the Mustek and it's tiny size means I can take it everywhere. I just need to remember to always put it in my bag!
Instax mini 70
I had an Instax Mini 7s when it first came out, but after many years of use it wasn't working very reliably. I replaced it with this one, choosing the lovely blue colour. I love instax film, it's just so fun. I use this camera for taking photos of my dolls a lot, and also cute photos of me and my boyfriend.
Polaroid iZone Instant Pocket Camera
The film for this camera is no longer made and the out of date film doesn't work at all, but I keep this camera for nostalgia as I think it's so cool. I really hope one day they make film for it again. I used to use it to take tiny photos of my dolls and pets a lot as a child.
JVC GR-FX11 VHS-C Camcorder, 2000
I bought this video camera in lockdown and it's really fun. I love the look of VHS recordings. Even though I have couple of batteries for it, it doesn't hold charge very well, so I don't use it very often. I would like to use it more if I can solve this problem.
from 2019 to forever
